Tibet
And the Evolution of Tibetan Buddhism

Tibet, a captivating region nestled amidst towering mountain ranges, holds a unique place in the realm of spirituality and ancient traditions. Known as the "Roof of the World," Tibet is a sacred site that is a home of the sacred Mount Kailash - the Abode of Shiva and the Mystical Lake Manasarovar - two of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the world.

The spiritual significance of Tibet is deeply rooted in its connection to the pursuit of spiritual evolution and enlightenment with Buddhism being at the core of its traditions. Contrary to popular belief, the birthplace of Buddhism can be traced back to the ancient lands of India. Watch Sadhguru delve into the origins of Buddhism, leading us to the very source of Gautama the Buddha.

The Inner Journey

And when the journey on road began
It felt as if we entered the door of heaven
The magnanimous mountains
With an aura of mystery
Seemed to whisper their untold stories

Man and man-made things
Felt so tiny and unimportant
As we made our way through
These larger than life creations!
The heart was overwhelmed and overjoyed
With gratefulness and devotion
The inner journey had begun!
